Steel Addition

The most challenging projects sometimes yield the best results. This project, which required us to maintain the historic character of an 1854 schoolhouse while working with very limited space, was no exception. Working closely with owners Curt and Cindy Steel, we created an award-winning space that is both charming and functional.

Situated on beautiful Candlewood Lake, we transformed this one-time summer cottage into a beautifully detailed work of art. Using the clients’ plans as a starting point, we were able to work out some major design issues and create a new space that blends seamlessly with the existing home.
